Review on Chantal Stainless Steel Classic Teakettle by Kate Moon
FAILURE ON FIRST START-UP WITH SLOW, CONTINUOUS LEAK FROM where spout joins kettle body
My first classic Chantal stainless steel kettle lasted over 10 years so I wasn't upset when he failed. I replaced it with a second stainless steel classic teapot less than a year ago which was a huge disappointment. It has a small but constant leak at the bottom of the seam where the spout connects to the body of the kettle. It flows silently into the kettle and fills my gas stove. It would be fine if I didn't fill it above that seam, but my kettle requires me to fill the kettle to this point if I want a full kettle in the morning. DO NOT BUY THIS KETTLE. For €99.00 it's not worth the price. I called the manufacturer who needs an online invoice and 3 pictures of the kettle to see if "they can do anything for me".
