Ideal when it's very cold outside. It keeps me warm when I'm out in the cold and especially on windy days. When the weather is already cold and also windy it gets much colder and it really helps to block the cold windy air. I also occasionally ride a bike which blows air in my face and this is great for keeping out the cold because the material is a thick but soft/warm fabric which makes it very comfortable to wear. This is meant to cover my ears and be snug enough to stay in that position so it doesn't fall out, which actually helps a lot. It stretches out, wide and long enough to cover my ears and neck and stay in that position, which actually helps a lot as it doesn't fall out. Overall this is a very good neck warmer to keep out the cold. My only complaint is that it's a little pricey, but it's a quality product that will most likely last for years.
