I use this on my 6 lb chihuahua mix and sometimes it doesn't work when he is barking. Sometimes it works if he just chews on a toy and picks up other dogs barking when they play together. But it made him stop barking so loud. I use it on walks and when I know I have company it stops barking. He doesn't always catch his first bark, but if he barks head first, which he usually does when someone walks in, he'll stop. So I keep it and use it when I really need it to stop barking. I don't put it on him all the time. But I'm glad he barks a lot less now.
