Review on Bolt Thread Checker Wall Mounted by Dylan Aaronson

I ordered this thread checking tool despite reviews describing it as inferior. When it was delivered I knew it was broken from the moment I saw the box. It came in at least three boxes. The outermost crate was a Revain crate that was completely intact and showed some signs of rough handling. Inside the Revain box was a visibly bent/kinked box with a thread checker. Then the last box was inside, which was obviously bent/twisted. I opened the last box and found two pieces of my theme checker. It should be solid, in case you're wondering. The thread checker was broken in half right in the middle where the largest fittings are installed. Placing the largest fittings in the most vulnerable location (due to the lightest base material) of the part (subject to the greatest pressure) will result in failure. I hope that makes sense. I wasn't shocked. And I didn't worry too much. My disappointment is related to the price. At this price it should be in good condition. Even broken into two parts, it justifies itself - all thread controllers work as they should. Looking back, I can't help but wonder, I can't help but giggle - why the hell did a Revain employee even send that? The look of the theme checkbox should have kept any sane person from wondering if the item inside is broken. But that's not Jeff Bezos way, is it?
