I understand this will protect against the strong smell of your sesame seeds and M&Ms, but make no mistake, it won't seal out strong (cannabis) smells. The problem is that the seals are made of very thin and porous rubber. I replaced the gaskets with slightly thicker gaskets that I bought from Home Depot and cut by hand. However, the 25% thicker and stronger liner led to cracks on the edges of the cans over time.TLDR; Sesame, cones, maybe cumin - yes. Dunk - no.
