Air quality was very poor due to local forest fires. The air outside was clouded with thick smoke. Small particles of ash were blown away by the wind and fell on my house. So I tried to order a High CADR air purifier with automatic fan control for my 500 square meter family room. ft. Comparable to several mid-range models, the Levoit LV-H133 was stock. I am very happy that I chose Levoit. Pros - Price - $199, not the cheapest but fully justified by many benefits - High CADR - 287, not the highest but true rating. Others falsely sell higher when the actual performance of the product is lower. - Tubular design - The round cylinder body with fan impeller efficiently draws air through the cylinder without any corners or edges causing friction or dead spots. Rectangular models and panel filters with mobile fans have hotspots on the filter at the fan openings. Filter Price/Efficiency - $48, not the cheapest but has more surface area and lasts longer for even coverage than rectangular filters costing up to $60. Pop. - Energy Star certified - 47W lower than other brands consuming 70W. - Noise level - 25-54 decibels, lower than others that are well over 60dB. - Automatic sensor function, open the door or light the steak and a sensor will identify fine dust and increase the fan speed, and the control panel will light up from blue to green or yellow. - Aesthetics - White satin plastic finish with a slight hourglass shape has a modern, sexy look. - Magnetic back cover for easy access and so on. Plastic hinges or clips that break over time - Great, affordable and friendly US-based customer service center - Nice controls - Easy-to-use backlit touchscreen controls with all the features you need back against the wall. However, a workaround is to place the left or right side on a wall or corner where there are no vents so the front and rear vents are not blocked. Sign up for a 2 year warranty, not the best option as others have up to 5 years or a lifetime warranty. Guarantee if you buy OEM factory filter directly. Other problems with other models. I can't buy Medify 40 filters for $60+ as they can't ship large filters to my area, who knows why. I ordered Taotronics TT-AP002 twice. and never received the package. Taotronics of Fremont, California reported that they had run out of supplies and were oversold. As a result, shipping labels were created but no product was submitted to UPS. The Winix models are too loud and unattractive in design. A Winix in my doctor's office was deafening. I am very happy and breathe freely with Levoit LV-H133.
