I bought two of these to use with Swiss/German NATO fuel tanks. My glasses have an offset spout. The straps couldn't accommodate this so I had to straighten one side of the jet cross. Full gas cans expanded and began to fit snugly at the entrance and exit. The lid straps are decent steel, but they attach to the ring at the back with a hook rather than a fixed full loop. This allowed the hook to be bent right out of the loop, defeating the entire purpose of the tie down, and not enough metal to close and weld the loop. I wasn't too concerned about my truck's security since I have a lockable topper, but I wouldn't rely on this device mounted outside. This is basically a good start but needs modification for what you have. It accepts a shorter gas bottle. It does not accept Blitz brand plastic or rimmed (US original) cans. This applies to NATO cans with the seam pointing vertically upwards.
