I'd almost like to say this thing works TOO WELL! I haven't seen lightning bolts since they were very popular in the early 90's when I was a kid, but I vividly remember the sound they made when they were executed. While this device is silent when switched on but nothing shocking, the sound it makes on contact is LOUD which has literally made me jump around a few times because I'm not used to it at all! The shock sounds so intense that I think "excessive exertion" every time I hear it. For example, just a small fraction of the force expended might get the job done, but it might just be the way it's done and not because of the flow. I dunno, sounds like an unnecessarily violent death to me lol but it definitely works! It definitely started attracting bugs as soon as I turned it on, and within the first 1/2 hour of use I was half amazed, half annoyed at the amount of dead flying bugs this thing was producing for me - so much so that I decided to take a picture. to share and who better to share than you?! I also made a video of the bug taking a very loud death so you can hear the room go from silence to a loud bang - the sound actually reminds me A LOT of those 80's hats - they would have these burgundy ones should put on stripes. in the gun and as soon as you fire it you hear a loud bang and the gun smokes, remember that? If yes, then it looks like this. So if you're reading anything like I did when this thing happened to work, it may scare you lol.
