Review on πŸ”Œ H84703001: Premium 70 Amp Relay Socket with 4 Terminals by HELLA by Chad Chavez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not for the typical do-it-yourselfer

Please check exact part numbers before purchasing. It's just a connector with no wiring. According to the HELLA website, this connector requires special spade terminals H84991151 to connect #10 AWG wire. I only realized this after spending a few minutes binding square millimeters to AWG. Also keep in mind that connecting the terminal requires a special crimping tool that is not typically used with eyeglasses. This is for installers who are already familiar with this type of wiring and just need a few extra details. For very small or one-off repairs you can simply use the pre-wired 12 gauge version. However, continuous loads above 20A are not recommended, "70A" refers to continuous loads of the relay itself. It is recommended to reduce the rating to 50-80% to account for spark contacts.
