I bought these to replace the dash speakers in my 1983 Mercedes 240d. They fit well with no modifications and the sound quality is pretty good. There is not enough bass, but it is quite acceptable for such a small speaker. My main takeaway, however, is that you get speakers, some foam, and stickers in the box. That's all. No screws or cables. These speakers use nifty little spade terminals like most car audio systems, and I didn't have the right connectors handy so I had to improvise. They also don't have any decorative rings so I think they are designed to fit behind standard grills. If you are planning on replacing the original speakers in their original positions this is a good option, but be sure to order the correct connectors when ordering your speakers.
