1) The design itself does not instill much trust; despite the use of metal in its construction, the toaster itself has a rather "plastic" and lightweight feel to it (although this is a matter of opinion). 2) A short cable, which requires you to position it in close proximity to an open outlet. 3) During the first few cycles, a distinct odor will be present; the maker will provide this moment and describe it in the instructions (it will occur after three episodes of frying at maximum power without bread inside). 4) When the device is being roasted, the case becomes quite hot (you run the risk of getting burned, and it can cause harm to objects that are standing nearby), which is a side effect of the use of metal in the structure (supposedly, the metal layers themselves are rather thin, which would explain the lightness of the structure). 5) Extremely large; take this into consideration if you have a cramped kitchen.
