I've been using the Microsoft Intelli Optical Mouse, v1.1 for about 20 years. I think she is over 22 years old but I can't remember when I started using the MS Intelli optical mouse. While using it I felt that this is a really good option. It ran relatively smoothly during work and play and was very comfortable on my hand and wrist. The weight and friction were such that I didn't feel tired after a few hours of use. I expected it not to be withdrawn from sale without being replaced with stronger ones. But over time I realized that the stock was running out and there were so many people who loved the MS IO mouse as much as I did. I was able to buy a few MS IOs and have been using the ones I just bought when they were discontinued ever since. I've tried several other mice but found that nothing compares to the MS IO mouse. And in 2018 I bought two of these MS Classic IntelliMouses. But even though I had an MS IO mouse, I didn't open the box and try this one. Okay, in the meantime my IntelliOptical mouse seems to have gone wrong. I couldn't stand the unpredictable, spontaneous double-tapping of the left button anymore. So I decided to fix a couple of IO mice that had failed and I chose one of these MS Classic IntelliMouse and tested it. Now I've been using this mouse for about 16 hours or so. My first impression was that it was bigger, heavier, stronger, prettier, smoother and more accurate than the MS Intelli Mouse Optical. I like the white backlight, which can tell its position in a dark room, and these materials felt much better in my fingers and palms than the MS IO. The surface is smoother and the underside of the side panels are coated in a rubber-like material, allowing the mouse to move as if it were part of my hand. And the increased DPI (up to 3200) and report rate (1000 per second) make me feel like it's a real upgrade over mouse IO. The cursor moves smoothly and accurately. I felt like it was a little bit more than IO. My palm span is about 8 inches or 20 cm and I had no problem holding this mouse. I hope the size should be similar to IOs. In any case, a good grip does not cause the discomfort associated with increasing size. I remember some bad reviews when it first came out. I was a little shocked to see reviews like this. But as a longtime user of MS IO mice for decades, my first impressions are very pleasant. A key question will be how long these good impressions can be maintained. I also bought several Microsoft Pro Intellimice. I expect a lot more from them. But I think this classic Intellimouse is a definite upgrade from the previous version. I hope MS can keep up with customer demands and continue to produce such good products for a long time.
