Ordered this item twice. The first time I took it upstairs to my room (painting bathroom cabinets) and set the unopened box on the floor. My dog knocked it over while playing ball and the ENTIRE BUCKET WALKED onto my CARPET. Luckily I was planning on installing hardwood floors soon so I was rather upset that I couldn't start my project that day because there was nothing left! Revain replaced my paint in 3 days. (See first photo) *Tip: Even though the lid has those metal clips, it can still open! Be very careful when working with paint for the first time! I used to renovate cabinets and I HATE painting (mainly because I hate the time and effort it takes to prep the surface). Sanding to remove finish/wiping, making sure no dust particles are left on the surface etc. So I researched how to polish my cabinets without spending too much time and also making sure the finish is durable and doesn't chip. . I read all the reviews on this product and decided to give it a try. I cleaned the surface with a degreaser but didn't polish it. The layers are very thin. You only need about 2 thin coats and that's it. This isn't the type of primer to help apply the paint, it should promote adhesion. After letting it dry (I left mine overnight) I did some scratch tests and decided to proceed with paint (see photo). *Tip: Make sure you shake/stir the primer really well. I noticed that when I was using it on another project and shook it hard, the grip wasn't that strong and it scratched. I was very happy with my cabinets and had no chips after a year. ! On another project, I helped my sister polish her bathroom tile (she had LOTS of blue tiles and an ugly countertop that needed polishing). I read a review saying they used it on tiles so I decided to give it a try. I tried to scratch the porcelain stoneware a little, then cleaned and dried the surface and applied the first primer in a very thin layer. It seemed to stick to it pretty hard with light scratches (I didn't use a nail or anything). I then continued my project with a bathtub and tile repair kit. (As seen in the photos). It's been two months and again, so far so good! I tried not to use abrasive cleaners on the tiles or countertops and the epoxy took over 72 hours to cure (and I had the heater on while it was drying because it was winter. I like to try). This material is back on the crib with a squirt gun. I'm not looking forward to having to sand every board, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this works well for that too! If you have a painting project ahead of you. Save TIME and just try it Thanks later βΊοΈ
