SECOND UPDATE. I contacted the company about battery corrosion. They sent me a new Halloween tree. The new one sucks too. The battery life is minimal. Don't even think about using the timer function. The spring in the battery compartment of the second tree also rusted. nice to show Forget ever turning it on. UPDATED - I had three or four stars because they are so cute. My battery issue mentioned below has become more than annoying. I couldn't turn on my Halloween tree AT ALL. I mean I could, but who wants to put in THREE new batteries every day?! If I had known how much battery life it had I wouldn't have gotten it. Maybe my version of champagne would be better for Christmas. SECOND UPDATE. I wanted to remove the batteries for storage and found that they were corroded. I have emailed the company. Champagne is so beautiful! I collect ceramic trees so this was a great addition to the unique color. Halloween is also so cute and unique. HOWEVER, the Halloween tree I got is annoying for two reasons, one of which is common to the other tree. First he has a lightbulb of the same color three cells in a row on several levels. Couldn't they just leave any second? Aggravating. Second, I thought the battery performance would be great. Install it anywhere! No plug! I was wrong. It takes three AA batteries and if left on for more than an hour they get so dim you can barely tell they're on. What good are batteries if you can't leave them on to enjoy them? For reference, I only used brand new batteries.
