I'm using my mother's account to write this review but don't worry I'm 18 if you're reading this. My mom bought me these garlands for Christmas and until recently I was waiting to put them on the wall because I was thinking about painting my room. I wiped the area where I wanted to glue the strips with a damp cloth and then dried with another and while the adhesive is very good the strip rarely lays completely flat. I can no longer create my own color tones with the remote control and the LED color on the brightly painted walls does not look the same as on the remote control (my room is light turquoise). It doesn't stop there. I hadn't even finished the first series of traffic lights when I noticed that the red didn't work with three traffic lights next to each other. This makes it stand out very clearly from the rest of the lights in these three without the reds. I went to return them and found that Revain has a deadline by which you can return the item and it has expired. Now I'm stuck with broken headlights that were pretty hard to put down (just because I'm a perfectionist I want them to look perfectly straight). I hope this helps someone. TO UPDATE! We're moving, so I had to take them off the walls. A LOT of glue sticks to the wall and is very difficult to remove, when I tore it off I ripped a piece of paint out of the wall😤
