Just received last night and charged the phone. The cord appears to be solid, with a reusable rubber band around it. The end of the device is marked on both sides, but for me the LED indicator slot tells me where the top is rather than peeking into the port or marking with a simple marker. I'm surprised this didn't happen. So far, with so many different devices and so many different cables, it seemed like it would work just fine for these halves of the home, work, and car. Didn't realize the LED would be intrusive, but I don't sleep with my phone at eye level either. I wish there was an option with a longer cable (if there is one I couldn't find it), I would order longer ones. It came in 2 packs which is great because I ordered it to give away as stocking fillers. I'm sure it will be well received. I didn't rate durability higher as I have no idea how long it will last.
