I had such a nice improvement in sound clarity after swapping a pair of surround back amp input leads (unshielded). I also replaced the center channel speaker wire. I have the same noticeable jump in clarity. Movie dialogue is clearer and video characters feel a bit more present. This may be due to a small reduction in noise from the cable shield, or simply better conductivity in higher quality connectors. In any case, a nice improvement for inexpensive component replacement.
