The kit includes several fasteners, two double-sided adhesive blocks and a cable with a seven-segment red LED indicator on one end and a male version of the diagnostic connector on the other. About 20 minutes to set everything up and install. Most of the time is spent figuring out where to place the display, gluing it in place, and then routing the cable to the under-seat connector. I decided to go alongside the existing display - looks cool! (See photo - I used both sticky pads) Cable routing is all about avoiding pinch points and hot spots! (That's what she said) Then plug the cable into the diagnostic socket under the seat, start the bike in neutral and the meter counts. Gear, you choose it - up to 6th gear. The included instructions are in multiple languages and fairly detailed - the only thing missing is that the device takes about 15-20 seconds to detect and display each transmission, which isn't a big deal but I found it worth it was worth mentioning. (I thought it would take a few seconds) If you can't safely raise your rear wheel, you should do it on a road with no cars. Looks great and works great!
