These washcloths looked scratchy when I received them. I had brand new stainless steel pots and pans and these washcloths looked like they would scratch them. I've tried double ended sponges, hair ties, and lots of elbow bands. I chose to put them in a saucepan that I've only used once, but used cheese instead of onions and the pan looked spoiled. I tried the Crown Scrubber and it was amazing! Everything washed off very quickly and did not scratch. I was ready to assume I screwed up the pot after the sponge didn't work. This product cleans my new pan right away. I've even emailed friends who have similar stainless steel kitchens. I became addicted.
