The perfect camera for busy, unenthusiastic parents

My wife and I are tired of missing out on those precious moments when trying to get two young children to be cute smile and look at the camera at the same time or capture that fleeting moment of joy. So we gave up the "beautiful point and shoot" idea and bought an actual camera. We leave it on full auto 99% of the time and the photos look amazing compared to your last shoot. We get an instant trigger response and the colors also look very good indoors at night with a flash (a bit dull, tiny yellow, but well above what we're used to). I wish it had video capabilities as I'd love to see what it looks like. Also, at first I wanted you to be able to frame your shot on the LCD, but once you get used to the viewfinder (I haven't used it for a while) you tend to prefer it. the lenses you really need. Maybe I'll go with a fixed focal length lens over time, but that's really all I need. High quality memory card (class 10) so photos won't slow down due to slow write speeds (the Walmart version of this kit has a slower card). The bag is large enough for a body, two lenses and a charger. So don't waste space, but you'll need a bigger bag if you want to expand your lens collection. This camera exceeded my expectations in terms of image quality considering its 'entry level' in the DLSR world. In my opinion, this is the perfect camera for the non-enthusiast who just wants to take good photos WITHOUT spending a fortune on gear, lugging around a camera bag and spending tons of time learning how to use the camera. It's a Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry for cameras.
