Depends on what you want.

I personally use this in my home studio where I need to plug in anything that now has a USB port instead of a plug. It lets noise through, but since having kids, blocking out distracting noises has become second nature to me. I took off 1 star because not everyone can do it. Thankfully the audio isn't too loud and isn't transmitted through an open mic, otherwise the extra stars would have been deducted. Almost 2 months with almost daily use there were no problems. Easy to use and does exactly what it says on the tin.
