I would say for a starter kit that is what you need. A great choice to carry batteries, chargers, memory cards, polarized cover and 1 extra lens in one bag. The LSCU11 (which came with the camera) was a bit small for a 55-210mm lens, camera and 16" lens. Lens 50mm. I switched to it and was happy. I also took it on a flight and managed to take my phone and the Anker portable phone charger with me. The Alpha case was too big for my needs. I also think that carrying 3-4 lenses and a tripod isn't necessarily something everyone needs unless you're a pro. If you are walking a longer distance, you should also consider a backpack to better support your back when carrying it.
