I've been a longtime fan of Corsair - I've been using their desktop RAM for more than ten years and they've never let me down. I'm happy to see that they offer the same level of reliability and functionality for their other products. I finally had to upgrade my PSU this year, and while it's a little overkill for my setup, the modular design and high quality definitely justify the price. There are cheaper power supplies out there, and there are certainly parts of your computer that you can safely save on - the power supply is not one of them. I've been building computers - workstations and gaming consoles - for nearly twenty years, and the most catastrophic random failures I've ever seen have involved the failure of a cheap power supply and the failure of the rest of the system. I always look at a good power supply as an investment in the computer itself and this one definitely hit the mark.
