One caveat: the instructions are not in English. It would be helpful if the instructions were in the language of the country it is sold in. I can't speak for the remote as I'm not using the app he recommended. It's a good size and fits my iPad Pro 11. I appreciated that it came pre-assembled and all I had to do was take it out of the box and set it up on my stand. There were many options for lens caps. I mainly use it in interviews to see my guest and look straight at the camera. I tested it as a classic teleprompter and it worked well with prompt smart.
