2004 Corolla. Installed February 2014, now in service for 2 years 2 months. Works perfectly. Although slightly different in appearance to the existing Toyota original starter, the TYC is a direct bolt-on - no modifications required, it plugs into the factory wiring harness - no wiring hassles. I installed it myself. I usually gravitate towards high quality Denso rebuilds (I have found that there is a HUGE difference in quality between remanufactured starters - Denso for Japanese/Korean cars seems to be the highest quality rebuild I have found). However, this time I decided to try the new (this TYC is a new and not rebuilt starter) TYC. Good value for money and as I often buy by mail order I don't have to pack and pay for shipping to send back a replacement starter to claim a base fee. Short term entry level reviews are a bit useless in my opinion - the value is you won't have to do the job again for a long time - I hope this 2 year review helps you decide between TYC and refurbished.
