Love the look and support of the strap model, but have used several of my own reasons for the 2-strap version. First, it's not wide, and while my foot is average on every other brand, I've found Chaco to be wide. Second, the straps were more difficult to adjust than the two-strap version. My foot size is 8 M and I usually wear 8.5 in running shoes (even 9 in Mizuno running shoes). Chaco 8's are too long - curvature in the wrong place. The middle width was too narrow even though my foot is size M. In fact, they fit my mom's AAAA wide feet! Chaco 7s are too small for me, but Chaco 7W fits perfectly.
