We love our new stainless steel! Food tastes better and is more fun to cook than on the old nonstick. The heating is very even. Foods that we used to cook at medium or medium level now only require low or medium level. Love the size of this set, a 12" pan is a must for a family of 5 and guests. They're nice and thick and we didn't have any warpage other than the frying pan, but that was our fault (preheated on high on an electric stove that warps everything). I shaped it with a rubber mallet to make it stiff. Glass lids are fun for watching food being cooked or popcorn popping. They also don't reflect heat, which I've noticed when grilling burgers or cheese with the lid closed. We put them in the dishwasher and had no problems. The dishwasher doesn't do anything with burnt/sticky food, so be careful if you're used to just throwing away non-stick coatings without washing first.
