Does what it's supposed to and I love love LOVE the bright red! Sounds like an old transistor radio, so don't expect a rich classical music tone from it. A good quality little radio is perfect for me to run a few miles and listen to NPR or classic jazz. I just pick two stations and don't even have to set up the antenna (I live in a big city). It's loud enough on its own or through headphones. I've even devised a way to wear this radio around my neck when I don't have bags, with a round key ring attached to the strap. The radio seems pretty fragile like everything made these days so don't drop it. It's not too big and is nice and solid even for its size. I just love it though - it's perfect for me, a baby boomer.
