Just got mine so don't know how long it will last. Easy to use and I believe it's pretty accurate. Two negative comments: 1. Not super loud. If you are in the next room and the TV is not on, it is almost inaudible. The TV is on and can't be heard. 2. From the photos in the advertisement, the timer appears to be 10-12 inches in diameter. No, that is not so. It's just over 2 inches wide and you can easily slip it in your shirt pocket. The good news is that this timer is easily PORTABLE, so it doesn't have to be very loud. Put it in your bag and take it with you, and then you can go to work in the garden or sit in another room to watch TV and you can easily hear it.
