Works well just needs the right software to control. I've read comments saying a few different ones, but TuyaSmart is the one that worked best for me. To set it up, first install the software on your phone. Then connect the extension cord and follow the instructions. Basically, it connects directly to your phone via Wi-Fi, so you can set it up for your home WiFi. After restarting, it connects to your home WiFi and can then be controlled over your home network or from anywhere over the internet.
