I put this oil through its paces in icy circumstances as well as at room temperature, and it performed admirably in both settings; it provides excellent protection for the engine. Because of this, I've been using it for the past year and a half. Prior to that, I used something that is referred to as "original" oil; nevertheless, in the end, I understood that all of this is nonsense and a marketing trick. There are less expensive alternatives available, and in terms of quality, these alternatives are not only not inferior to the "original," but they are actually superior to it. Idemitsu is a good example of one of these.
