Good fit, great look, ideal underlayer on cooler days

I ordered this to add a slimmer-fitting light-colored shirt to my wardrobe; the mock neck wasn't a specific requirement, but it makes this a nice option for layering under more summery items on chilly days, or year-round casual looks under a blazer or cardigan. The half sleeves and slimmer fit turn this into a great base layer, and the classic light blue goes well in my primarily navy/charcoal/khaki/white wardrobe, while playing nicely with my fuchsia and teal accent colors. The fit is classic turtleneck, slim but skimming over the body while being slightly snug over the bustline (a little more so on me since I'm an F cup at the moment and most patterns are cut for D or smaller). The shoulder seams are an appropriate width for my larger bone structure, so they might appear slightly dropped on smaller frames, but it's really nice for me to find a top that doesn't look like it's over an inch too narrow. The sleeves have plenty of stretch, but don't feel or look really tight on my heavy upper arms; I'm relatively long-limbed for my medium height, but these still come down about a finger's width below the joint, so petites with shorter arms may find this to be closer to a 3/4 sleeve, which still works well as an under layer. Stitching and finishing are very clean, on a fabric with a great handfeel--not quite broken-in T-shirt, but a soft touch with no stiffness, making it a beautiful sensory reprieve under stickier linings or scratchier fabrics.

Pros
  • Great fit, runs true to size
Cons
  • Poor quality material that easily wrinkles and loses shape after few washes
