I first bought two 27" LG Ultragear monitors (1080, 240Hz, IPS) and initially liked them, but there were too many bugs in my laptop + monitor setup. Sent them back just before the end of the month. - 3 screens, none of them is a great picture if you sit at table distance - IPS can be a little bright at that distance with long term use - 550 size was relatively big to spend on monitors forced me to ask myself, what else i could do could get for the same or less money. A 34-inch monitor with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 @ 144Hz and a 1ms response time is a great solution at this price point, and MSI is no junk brand. decided to try it. Likes: - pleasing to the eye - the size is great, almost perfect for work or play. my laptop is next to it so i still have "2 monitors" - widescreen, compatible with all the games i've played so far, easy to use - nice stand, doesn't take up much space, i'm still considering the best picture settings out there Not. it's pretty obvious what they should be. I've shopped a lot, bought and returned quite a few items and I don't think I could have done better for the money. First, for a workstation monitor, this also works very well in games.
