Dramatically reduces spatter.

Great for splashing around! But you must clean it immediately, otherwise it must be soaked. It doesn't heat up directly - if you're using the right-sized screen - so it doesn't overheat. Because it's used to cover a pot or pot, it doesn't support any weight, so it's strong enough to work with. Very good product.
