I bought this case to carry a 4TB WD Elements hard drive, all other WD hard drives are the same size so it fits everyone. I bought this to replace the original soft case I bought from WD which they no longer sell. This one lasted about 12 years or more as I carried it in my briefcase to and from the office every day. This hard case is a good size, fits the drive without taking up too much space, is well padded and hard enough to protect the hard drive. . There are 2 sides inside, one is for hard drive, the other is for accessories like cables. It's roomy enough to carry a little more. This was not advertised as a 2 disk enclosure. The side where the hard drive straps attach has extra padding between the drive and the external hard case. The outer part is a plastic composition. The soft flap is then placed on top of the drive inside the case. It looks well made, the zipper has a little handle for opening and closing, there's even a little metal ring attached to a fabric tie sewn into the other end of the zipper, and a little carabiner is included. It looks like the drive is well protected as there is a narrow landing height. There is 3/4" to 7/8" of extra room on the long axis, but the width is tight. An elastic band holds the drive in place, and on the opposite side of the case is a half-height mesh with an elastic top to hold cables or other small items. I'm pretty picky when it comes to items like this and I would recommend this bag. I take care of my stuff, I think the hard drive will survive a short drop, but it is NOT designed to take a drop of any kind. I'd leave it to chance if it's hit by a small amount of liquid, like a little rain for a short time if you're carrying it in your hand from say a building to a car.
