I really like this cooler. I used it in a diesel Dodge Cummins to cool down a 68 RFE transmission that was towing a 15,000 lb 5 Series. After speaking to many people about coolers and their installation, I settled on this installation using 10-AN stainless steel tubing and fittings to avoid overly restricting the transmission oil flow. I wired it to be powered by a temperature sensor in the hot transceiver's cooling line and also to be turned on manually from the cockpit. My temperature drops about 20 degrees. I installed it in the airflow under the truck to keep the oil cool even without the fan on. In fact, it works so well that it turns on before I manually just look at the transmission temp gauge. My temperature sensor is set to 180 x 160 off.
