Upgrade to 4 stars. As another reviewer mentioned, the tray is too shallow, making it very messy when you try to empty it. I use a thin layer of wood pellets in the bowl and when the bowl is removed dirty debris falls everywhere. So far I haven't figured out how to empty the tray without making a big mess. Still a good tray and it keeps the rabbits from getting dirty so it does my main job. I just wish the tray wasn't so dirty so I'm deducting a star. Original Review: This tray is great for my 2 medium sized bunnies (mini bunny and lionhead). As they get older, they no longer enjoy using their smaller corner tray. They also kept taking off the metal mesh that was on it and throwing poop and pee everywhere, disgusting! I've only had it for a few days but so far they're loving it. I hang their hay feeders over it and they take turns sitting in the box eating hay while they go about their business. The best part is that their waste falls through the floor in wood pellets and turns into dust. There is no smell and they cannot remove the soil and dig up the pellets! Also, it seems better for her feet than the metal grill on her old one. In addition, this set has great additions. The mini broom is ideal for sweeping in and around the tray. The grass mat and bamboo sticks helped them get started with their new litter box. I won't use plastic liners because there was always some plastic sticking out of them and the rabbits would chew on them, I don't want it to mess up their tummies. I clean it simply by pouring out the wood pellets and rinsing with water. The only downside for me is that their cage has a plastic base so the screw mount can't reach enough height to attach to their cage's metal bars. I don't mind, the tray is big and heavy enough that you can't throw it around.
