This little gadget couldn't be easier to refill SodaStream CO2 cylinders. We use a 5lb CO2 tank for home brewing and this adapter connects to a 5lb tank on one end and a SodaStream tank on the other. Open the tank valve to 5 pounds (just a little!) and the SodaStream tank will fill up in about 2 minutes. It's so cool! Much easier and cheaper than changing every time. Tips: First, chill an empty SodaStream can in the freezer for about an hour. The colder your canister is, the more CO2 it fills. Open the valve of your CO2 filling bottle just a little, the smallest amount you can open. SodaStream canisters have a special valve that closes if too much pressure is applied to them. Use your ears to tell when the SodaStream canister is full again. You will hear a noise as the gas enters the canister, but it will stop once the pressure is equalized. That means your SodaStream canister is full!
