Have you ever taken one of those mosquito sound tests that play different high-pitched sounds that certain age groups can't hear? It's like one of those. I see another review that says there's terrible high-frequency noise, and I can hear it clearly too - looks like it has something to do with the USB ports. I'm almost 30 and this sound is one of those sounds that is hard to define but will drive you crazy or give you a headache but my little daughter hears it as bright as day when she immediately turns her head to that second I plug it in. I think people who have younger kids and pets might want to get tired.
