The frame itself is solidly built and the silver screw caps are plastic. It's good. My car used to have bigger screws so we had to replace them with the back and we couldn't close the screws but they worked great on the front even without the back. I bought an extra pack of screw caps and we used the plastic bits as washers. The main disadvantage of this plate is that it is too small and covers the stickers. They're still legible and hopefully still legal, but there should be decal indentations on either side of the license plate. Keep in mind that many cars only screw into the top of the license plate. In the end I glued the screw caps to the bottom holes on the board to make them look nice.
