Mine looks a little less teal than the photo, more periwinkle. I can't say that the dragon really catches the eye, it's sort of wrapped around a tie fold and turned upside down. However, various parts of the dragon's anatomy protrude from behind the folds and blend into the beautiful paisley pattern. Perhaps it seems appropriate to me that the dragon's presence seems spooky. I mentioned that this is the most beautiful silk I have ever seen. Color, weave, embroidery pattern are simply exquisite. I also have a pair of silk ties from an American manufacturer known for their use of Italian patterned silk in dozens of styles and colors.
