It's not a snap on, but it's not snapped off either

I bought this to replace the valve stem seals on the VW 2.0 ABA 8V head. The valves are fairly deep recessed and this vintage uses OEM dual valve springs (although they are not very firm). This tool made 90% of the job a breeze. The only issues I had were: 1) The bushings fall out of the threaded rods fairly easily, which could be because the holes in the bushings were drilled too large or the locking balls on the rods aren't spring loaded well. It can be frustrating when you have 32 valves instead of 8 (and you're trying to offload that work to your daily driver rather than a project car with no deadlines), but when that's the case you're spending more money. on the best instrument. I think the Rolls Royce version of this tool is only about $20 and is probably made to tighter tolerances. end off center of valve stem. It's more like it's just part of the job (it's my first time doing this so I don't know); I don't see what a fancier tool would have done differently to avoid this. But there's a subtlety nonetheless, and once you figure out how to use the wobble to your advantage (and not over-compress the spring during assembly) it's pretty easy. You can afford to put up with minor imperfections.
