I love the taste of fennel

I love the taste of fennel. My husband thought it was too tingly/numb. I believe there is a natural enzyme in fennel (as well as in celery and similar plants) that causes this. At first I felt a little but it seems to have subsided. If you like the taste of fennel, I recommend :)
