Review on Bridgestone Blizzak Ice 195/65 R15 95T winter by Stanisaw Augustynowi ᠌

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

I dashed on these tires from 2022 to 3000 km. Not much, but how much is there! In deep and light snow, the rubber rows confidently, which even surprised me after the Gislaved Nord Frost 100. It runs fine on a knurled track with partially compacted snow, but it pulls into a rut only for hello. It drives confidently on frozen and slightly icy asphalt, you don’t notice the tire, there is no fear. But if you drive on the same asphalt at a temperature of about 0 ° and the ice on the roads and hillocks has slightly melted, then it’s already scary to drive here, the car stops slowing down normally. 3-4 times during the winter there were terrible moments when braking in front of other cars. As for the comfort from the tires, they are really soft, both on the sidewall and on the tread. In terms of noise, the tires initially seemed very quiet, but when frost presses on the street, the noise from the tires becomes more noticeable. Not strong, but it's there. And most likely this noise is associated with the peculiarity of the tread pattern, because the rubber compound of the tread cannot make noise due to oakiness, because the smallest rubber turned out, and the pattern itself does not have longitudinal directions, but on the contrary, it is strewn with transverse blocks for better grip. Well, these transverse blocks make noise in cold weather. At temperatures from 0° to +5°C the tires are very quiet. But when I switched to summer Toyo tranpath MPZ, in comparison with Velcro, I realized that summer ones would still be quieter. As for tire wear, I can safely say that the rear tires were almost not worn out, because all the ebb pimples remained, and the front ones just erased these pimples. On my runs, of course, it is impossible to judge the wear resistance of rubber, but I still made measurements: The front tires have a balance of 8.46mm. I took 5 measurements and made an average value. The rear tires have a balance of 8.84mm. I took 6 measurements and also made an average value. Well, in the end, I want to share a little nuisance, and maybe already a feature of all modern tires. On one photo, I identified traces of small cracks in the longitudinal drainage grooves.

Pros
  • + Manageability. + Good grip. + Quiet enough for an asymmetric tread pattern. + The golden mean in the softness and durability of the tire. + Do not swim in warmer weather, but do not tan in cold weather. + They row well in the snow, both on the knurled and on the loose. + No noise while driving. + Good durability. + Soft sidewall. + Beautiful sidewall pattern + The protector holds punctures from glass and small nails well. + Stones are not stuffed into the tread very much. There were more stones on last winter tires.
Cons
  • -After a season of operation, small microcracks appeared in the depth of the tread. -On the ice, of course, it’s scary on them, but this is predictable, Velcro. - Drainage is worse than in summer. It feels like the car slows down on the water in the puddles.
