I use this on my aftermarket upgraded DC58 and it works great. You just have to live up to your expectations without any reason. I have an Australian Shepherd so the coat situation here is always level 11. The downside here would be a) it's not very wide but that could also be a plus as it can get into places my upright Dyson can't b) I usually need to remove the hair trimming brush after every 4 uses and slide the wheels out after every 10 uses. All in all, it's great to breathe new life into my DC58 laptop turned cordless vacuum cleaner!
