My tablet is mostly mine and used by kids on trips etc. I think this case would be better for a tablet only used by kids. I need a full body case to protect it from children clinging and also because I often use it in the kitchen as a recipe book. There is nothing worse than flour in your ports. It has a built in screen protector but no covers for charging ports or headphones so I sent it back. Installation was pretty easy. By default, both parts separate and join. Screen clarity was ok. Although I really wanted to keep fingerprints on the screen. I liked the grip and didn't like it. This made it much easier to carry it from place to place without touching the screen with your hand. But it makes it difficult to access the lock screen buttons and volume controls when you have adult-sized hands. You either have to squeeze your fingers under the handle or you have to reach around and behind. It might not matter much, but it's annoying if you'd rather use buttons than touchscreen controls, since the portion of the case that directly surrounds the tablet is quite thick.
