Review on QT 2X Cross Blades Replacement Set with Gaskets for Magic Bullet 250W MB1001 Series Blender Part by Christopher Shah

I ordered this item to replace the original Magic Bullet cross blade which wore out after 7 years. I've read several posts about the poor quality of aftermarket cross knives. I took a chance because there aren't many options. I received a set of 2 and used the first one. I mainly use them for post-workout protein shakes. Nothing complicated except milk, fruit, protein powder and some ice cubes. After about 7 uses I started hearing a buzz from the blades. After about 10 uses the blades stopped spinning and upon closer inspection of the underside of the blades the rubber gear that meshes with the blender wore down to a bulge causing the blades to not spin. I have a friend who gave me one of his original blades in a box that he never uses. After reviewing the original aftermarket blades, the aftermarket uses softer, cheaper rubber gear. All they have to do is make that rubber into a stronger mixture to withstand the force of a blender spinning the blades' rubber gears. So I run my second aftermarket blade with a new old blade as a backup. disappointed but not worth the time and money to send it back.
