Wanted to use this for a convertible chrome book with the keyboard folded. At a small angle, the screen faces the ceiling. It would be similar with a tablet. The product photos show the straps on the outside of the laptop bag. But if you look closely at the first photo, then one side of the stand is on the edge and the other is just in the middle. It works with a Chromebook with a bottom keyboard and a vertical screen. I suggest you use the dimensional illustration to make a pattern and match it to yours. The phone and tablet images are correct, with the screen (and camera) facing the ceiling.
