I have long thick hair but I also don't have the patience to use a flat iron or do I really need hair that straight and styled that I wanted just something to comb and get the frost out of my hair. Initially I found this brush a bit difficult to use due to the round shape of the brush, but once I got it it was as easy as watching TV and brushing my hair. I highly recommend watching the video or reading the manual first as things have changed over time and are looking for me. It took me 20 minutes the first time because I styled my hair right after I showered. They recommend that the hair is 70% damp, I took it as not wet but wet. Next time it took me half the time and it really helped me to use the PTC button which heats it up a bit more. The cord is also good because it's really long and allows me to easily use it around the house without being restricted by my vanity. I managed to curl the ends a bit, but not much, so I definitely think it's more for volume and smoothness than curling the ends.
