Review on πŸ”’ CHESONA iPad Pro 12.9 Keyboard: 5th Gen, Backlit, Detachable, Pencil Holder by Jose Strong

Not as advertised (backlight not adjustable)

I am very disappointed with this accessory. It doesn't match the ad. It is described as a 7-color RGB backlit keyboard with the ability to control the backlight in 3 separate parts (left, center, right). NO. It's just a dimmer BLUE backlight, and the light itself literally turns itself off every few seconds, so it's pointless. No, you cannot change colors, especially in 3 different parts. As you can see from my photos, the manual is outdated and although the bulb button was there to turn the light on or off, the keys on the keyboard don't even match what their manual says. These 3 buttons should control the color of the backlight. Second, the case itself was incredibly flimsy. It had no stability and the iPad fell off very easily. The keyboard was the only thing that could hold it in place, so the "removable" magnet feature isn't really a plus if it can't stay in place without it. It connected easily and was quite effective when I used it on Facebook. but other than that it wasn't what I wanted. The bulkiness of the keyboard also didn't match the thin case when you've got it closed. I don't see it being easy to transport for what I need it for. So I opened it up, fiddled with it, checked it against the manual and did some troubleshooting to make sure I wasn't going crazy. and then looked at other reviews here + questions and realized that they removed the main feature that made me buy it. I processed the return request immediately and ordered another keyboard which is ACTUALLY sturdy and has an adjustable backlight. It's also $15 cheaper at only $42 for rose gold, which was recommended to me by a friend. The only reason I didn't order it was because it came with an extra Apple Pencil holder. It's not worth it.
